We are in the process of having a new website designed for us by Andy Stewart of www.stewartmedia.co.uk and we are hoping to use the site to keep you informed on a weekly basis of our news, events and dates for your diary. We are trying extremely hard to reach you with up-to-date information in different ways. Please help us to do this by keeping us informed of any changes to your telephone numbers, email addresses and work details.
Please keep recycling at home by bringing in any unwanted goods; it is amazing how much funding we can raise from these items. Textiles, mobile phones, CDs, DVDs in original cases, empty ink cartridges (originals only - no refills), broken gold jewellery and items for the 50p stall all contribute to our fundraising. As well as being good for the environment it reduces the amount of fundraising events we have to organise.
Keep a look out for the Christmas post box to be displayed in the foyer for the children, parents and carers who wish to send Christmas cards to their friends in the nursery, these will be delivered daily. The children are also invited to post their letters to Santa in the post box and these will be delivered by me to the North Pole, I have been told the children will get a personal reply from Santa.
We will be holding a small Christmas raffle to raise some funds for the children’s Christmas parties. We would be grateful if every parent can donate to a grocery hamper to create a prize. The room staff will invite you to draw out an item to donate. Other prizes will include Pizza Express vouchers, Christmas trees x 2, a child’s Lego book, and a Christmas bear.
Over the last few years the staff and committee sent just one Christmas card addressed to everyone in the nursery and made a donation to the Donna Louise Trust instead of buying individual Christmas cards, this year they will be doing the same. If you would like to make a donation instead of sending out Christmas cards please place it in an envelope addressed to the Donna Louise Trust and hand to a member of staff.
On Thursday 6th December, 12.00 noon, we will be holding a Christmas lunch for Parents/Carers and Grandparents. If you would like to join the children at nursery for Christmas lunch (includes main meal, pudding and drink) then please download and complete the 'Christmas lunch form' on our 'Forms & Info' page and return to the office by 26th November. The cost is £2.50 per person.
